Ovidio J. Vides S.A. de C.V., was founded as Vides Droguería in 1935, by Don Ovidio J. Vides and Dra . Ana Hortensia Vides.

Then the company is run by Dr. José Roberto Vides, pharmaceutical chemist, who was the president and majority shareholder of the company. Currently the president and majority shareholder is Doña Yolanda de Vides.

After eighty -one years of its foundation, its main activity is the distribution of pharmaceutical products, in the year 1995, it merged with Vides Laboratories, owned by Dr Jose Roberto Vides; reason why the trade name has been changed to Droguería and Laboratories Vides.

The facilities where it operates are two owned buildings and they are located in 13 Av. Sur, numbers 318 and 324, San Salvador.
